A couple of weeks ago I broke my lower molar and needed a root canal. My friend suggested Dr. Rohit Patel, at Putnam Bright Smile in Brewster, NY. In my past experience finding a good endodontist (or for that matter dentist) is a hit or miss. I am thankful to my friend for suggesting a great endodontist. He did such a thorough and excellent work that even my general dentist was highly impressed with the quality of the root canal. He noted that in many cases, root canal treatments fall short of fully reaching the apical terminus, leaving residual tissue or debris that can compromise long-term success. In contrast, Dr. Patel had thoroughly cleaned, shaped, and obturated the canal all the way to the apex, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and clinical excellence.

Additionally, my dentist pointed out that Dr. Patel placed a post to reinforce the tooth structure—an important step that many practitioners skip. This added measure reflects a thoughtful, long-term approach to structural integrity and restoration readiness.

From a patient’s perspective, my experience was outstanding. Dr. Patel has a calm and pleasant demeanor, never rushed, and took his time to ensure everything was done properly. The entire process—from scheduling the initial consultation to completing the root canal—was smooth and well-managed. The front office staff were courteous and efficient, making the overall experience reassuring and professional.

I chose to have the crown placed by my regular dentist, and Dr. Patel's office was completely professional and supportive of that decision. They proactively provided all necessary records and imaging without hesitation, ensuring a seamless transition of care.

I went in for a deep cleaning and it was amazing. The receptionist made me feel super comfortable and the cleaning was pain free and one of the most thorough I’ve ever had. Will definitely go again!

So far I have had two procedures, cleaning and a crown, and I have nothing but positive words. The staff is wonderful. They answered all my questions and work with my chaotic schedule. My husband had a root canal and cleaning and he loves it here. My daughter also met with an orthodontist and is using Invisalign. Work that has been pushed back since the pandemic! Love this place!! Recommending them to everyone I know!

The front desk staff is so nice and pleasant. They make scheduling, and check in and out super easy! Dr. Patel has been wonderful in my care. He’s so knowledgeable, thorough and personable. Lastly, Emmanuel was fantastic with my cleaning. He made the experience so pleasant and explained things very well!
