Quality Fireplace and Chimney

Quality was on the spot for an emergency call on a Sunday! Rob was available to talk and within 90 minutes they came and inspected my chimney that was in need of immediate repairs.
Hermin let me know he was on his way and when he arrived we discussed in detail what the plan would be. Two hours later, the job was complete

We have a Mendota gas fireplace that needed to have it’s annual maintenance and inspection. A couple of places told me that Mendota was hard to deal with and get parts. One of these places told me to try Quality Fireplace in Setauket.
Robert, the owner was happy to do the job. A complaint that we’ve always had with this fireplace is that it is VERY drafty and the place we used for servicing our unit said that nothing could be done to eliminate the draft. We had to keep its thermostat on 74 to keep the den comfortable. Robert found the best and least expensive way to make this fireplace more efficient. He insulated around the perimeter of the fireplace door instead of having to do a costly brick removal on the chimney and insulate the fireplace from the outside. It is working very well! Our thermostat is now set to 66 degrees and our main thermostat is set at 62 and there is no more draft coming from the fireplace.
Rob also replaced a burner tube that had holes in it, cleaned the unit and reset the logs. We now feel that the fireplace is working at 100% ! We are so satisfied with
