Rich,
I have been coming to your funeral establishment for years, and in my younger years I felt your funeral home was the best on Long Island. Fast forward and I’m very disappointed in how things are running. I don’t believe the funeral home stands out as it once did.
They handled every aspect of my mother’s arrangements with kindness, empathy, and professionalism. They took care of everything. The only thing I had to do was sign paperwork. Anything my family needed, they were readily available to address all questions and concerns. My family has used Raynor and DAndrea multiple times over the years, and they are an integral part of Sayville’s close knit values and traditions.
My Mom's funeral was at Raynor & D'Andrea earlier this week and I must say they did a fantastic job throughout the entire process. The place is impeccably clean and aesthetically pleasing. The staff was very caring and my mother looked beautiful and peaceful in her casket. Even when I had an issue where my flowers were not delivered on time (my bad - I mistakenly phoned them in to an outside vendor ) they had their personal florist deliver a gorgeous spray in time for the funeral. The deacon and the staff (especially Barbara) were extremely helpful and compassionate making an otherwise painful day a lot more bearable.
Rich D'Andrea and his staff are wonderful. Their kindness and empathy helped Bob, myself and our family through a very difficult time in our life. They are there to help in any way, guiding you through everything with no pressure. They offer suggestions and options to help you choose what's right for you. Very supportive and compassionate people. They make difficult times easier to bear.
I don't normally write reviews and to start with a funeral home seems odd even to me. My sister in law passed away recently and I attended the meeting at Raynor with my brother to make arrangements. We dealt with Richard P, D'Andrea. Although we were all grief stricken the experience was lighten by the professionalism and heartfelt caring we received from Richard. We requested a very small service, no pomp or anything and instead of performing his job to that standard he treated us as if we had ordered full blown service. He helped us with items he didn't even need to assist with, like reservations at a restaurant of OUR choice after the service, and didn't push us to do anything. This man was so caring and thoughtful he felt like a member of the family by the time everything was done. Thank you Richard. You really made the difficult process less difficult.
