Hidden gems in the city. Will definitely come back again. There should be a parking near by the building. Also beaches in the area. Hard to reach if you don't have a car but there are buses near by.
Yayoi Kusama-Rockaway, loves everything about this exhibit. The presentation inside the main building was awesome, guiding me through the garden and into the main exhibit felt like an intentional beautiful path.
It was so cool to come here and see the exhibits they had! I love city adventures and this gallery trip experience did not disappoint. Take a ride on the ferry to the Rockaways and see this gem hidden away at Fort Tilden. Don't forget to donate when you get there!
A bit out of the way to get to, but worth it for the kusama exhibit.
The gallery is placed among historical structures close to the beach and Jacob Riis park. Studio 7 is a repurposed church that was turned into a beautiful and breezy gallery and space for music shows. A unique place where the community of the Rockaways comes together along with people who know of the well kept secret of how beautiful this area of New York City (still!) is
