Sachem Public Library

This is truly one of the best libraries I’ve ever been to! They offer wonderful programs for infants, toddlers, and teenagers, as well as a wide variety of services for adults. The library is always clean and well-maintained, which I really appreciate. The café is a huge plus especially for a mom like me who enjoys grabbing a drink before or after my toddler’s class. We also love the outdoor play area, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

I just wanted to shout out a worker who made my day and helped me so much! Vikki at the reference desk! She is genuinely kind, very helpful and a great person to talk to. I would promote her, give her a raise… something! It’s hard to meet genuinely kind people in this world!

The BEST of LI Library! 2025!! Why? Contains a coffee shop! What? Has its own cozy service area. You can snack & read!

Also has a large awesome kids books & computer area.

Staff is so helpful, go beyond to help you & don't chase you at closing.

There's more! Adult service with access to @27 PCs and a full STUDIO area, which is accessible to All patrons. Smithtown restricts theirs.

So next rainy day? Come here. It's better than B&N . You can find
DvDs, large print books, upload and modify videos and have hot/ cold brews. And it's a magical place to visit.

Sachem Public library is the best on Long Island! They have a wide selection of books, programs, resources, and a nicely laid out library with a variety of benefits for patrons of all ages.

The library also includes a café, which makes an even better experience.
