I love the doctors but the service sucks. I payed for my son glasses and was given a hard time to pick them up. The website says they are open weekend. They are NOT and they close at 5. I asked if they could leave it in the front at the pediatrics office was told no. For glasses there I already paid for. Was told to leave work early. I can't just afford to leave work early. I will be finding another eye doctor.

Kind of taken back. Great visit the doctor was very educated and explained everything well. When glasses were received I asked for a visit so my daughter can try them on in the office and the doctor can check if they fit properly and if she can see better with them and was told she has the wear them for 3 months before a re-check. She’s 4 years old and her first pair of glasses. I think that part of the experience left me a little taken back. Even for adults the doctor try’s the glasses on with you upon delivery and makes sure everything is to your fitting and the lenses works good for you. Hope maybe someone else’s child will have a better experience.

Dr. Helgeson and the entire staff provide a wonderful experience from start to finish. My entire family have been patients for years and we have always been treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Dr. Helgeson is extremely intelligent and professional, yet humble and personable. A few years ago, my husband showed a minor issue on his eyes that Dr. Helgeson recognized as a sign that could be indicative of a more serious health issue. She had my husband see a different specialist “just in case”, who initially laughed the idea off, but decided to go ahead and test my husband to “humor” Dr. Helgeson. Sure enough, my husband had the issue she suspected, and the doctor was humbled by the experience, stating that she may just have saved his life.

My children range in preschool age to middle school, and Dr. Helgeson is always able to interact effortlessly with all of them. I always know that they are in the very best of hands.

Tara, at the front desk, is always sweet and professional, as well as extremely organized. She delivers excellent customer service. Troy Lynn, the optometrist, is wonderful to work with as well. She has always gone above and beyond to make sure my family has the correct fit of glasses and is beyond patient. My daughter just tried contacts for the first time, and she talked her through initial frustration and fear of the unknown with ease.
Together, these individuals make a wonderful and dynamic team that we feel so fortunate and grateful to have. I can’t recommend them enough!

The experience @ Dr. Helgeson's office was a rare breath of fresh air from what I expect from a Dr's office. From my first phone call, the staff (specifically Tara) was super helpful and made the whole process easy. Dr. Helgeson herself was amazing with the bedside manners, and super friendly to myself and my child. All in all, everyone was amazing.
