I WAS TRYING TO GET IN CONTACT WITH ANY MEMBER OF STAFF, I JUST EANTED TO THANK ALL THE MEDICAL STAFF OR MEMBERS THAT HELPED ME AT MY STAYED IN REHAB BETWEEN MARCH 2021 AND APRIL 2021, I WENT TO MANY REHABS AND DETOXES, BUT AFTER I WENT TO SOUTH OAKS IT REALLY HELP ME, I’VE HAVE BEEN CLEAN FOR 4 YEARS AND 3 MONTHS TODAY, THANKS TO THIS REHAB, AND ALL THE LOVE AND GREAT CARE I RECEIVED, EVEN THE KITCHEN STAFF AND THE CLEANING STAFF TREATED ME WITH THE LOVE AND PROFESSIONALISM I NEEDED THEN, THANK YOU SO MUCH, I OWE YOU, MY LIFE CHANGED FOR GOOD, I SEND MY LOVE AND RESPECT TO YOU ALL🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️
No mental health hospital stay is ever truly going to be a 5 star experience. It's not like anyone really wants to have to be there. That being said, in comparison to another inpatient facility *cough* Brunswick *cough* South Oaks is leagues better and doesn't feel like jail. I was there in the adolescent unit in 2016 and there was school time and arts and crafts as well as group therapy. Which you would think would be the bare minimum... The nurses were kind enough to let me use the phone when I needed to, to call home, and my parents were even able to bring me my favorite food one day. No idea about the adult unit, but for teens, if you need to be admitted anywhere, South Oaks is definitely one of the better options.
