You haven't been to Southside? If you like fish you should try it out... Famously known for their "Twin Lobsters".
Fresh fish cooked to order is what Southside has been doing since 1934! This clearly passes the test of time!
Order your meal, get a table, wait for your order# to be called, to go back up to the counter and get your meal to bring it to your table, and Enjoy. Clams, shrimp, crabs, scallops, flounder, sword fish, tuna , salmon and Lobsters, etc.
Southside has so many choices so if you want it they probably have it. The fried shrimp is one of our favorites, the baked clams, and stuffed flounder are just so fresh we always enjoy whatever we get. The counter service is great but not the service you could get at a full service restaurant, so keep that in mind. As is the atmosphere, kinda like a "snack bar" feeling, so if you know this going in you'll enjoy whatever fresh fish meal you ordered!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Southside, and I must say, it was a seafood extravaganza that left my taste buds dancing! This market and restaurant combo is a true gem for seafood enthusiasts, and I had the chance to savor some of their finest offerings.

1. Snow Crab Legs: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
The snow crab legs at Southside were nothing short of spectacular. They were perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and seasoned just right. Each bite was a burst of sweet and briny flavor, making these crab legs an absolute must-try.

2. Lobster Roll: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
The lobster roll here was a work of art. The buttery, toasted roll was generously filled with succulent lobster meat, lightly dressed with a delicate sauce that allowed the lobster's natural sweetness to shine through. It was a heavenly indulgence.

Southside knows how to do fries justice. Their crispy fries were the perfect sidekick to the seafood delights. Golden, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside, these fries were the ideal complement to the seafood dishes.

In addition to the outstanding food, Southside Fish and Clam's atmosphere was cozy, and the service was attentive. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and happy to provide recommendations.

Best place for fresh seafood! Moved upstate craved Lobster got the twin Special as a treat for b day/ mom s day weekend. Was busy but soo worth the wait! Dan was our waiter and he was great - v cheery. Had little necks too ! Been going here for 45+ years & still delicious! Try it out their specials are good too!

I've been coming here for 35 years and Southside has always been consistently good. I now live out of the country and whenever I return home to Long Island, I make a point of coming here for lobster and littlenecks. The staff are always friendly and the informal atmosphere is very relaxing.

Haven't been back in over a year. The price has gone up on some menu items, but the seafood tasted fresh, so can't complain too much. The twin lobster has a MP so that'll go up and down with supply and demand. There has been some changes such as free refill on a soda purchase which is great. Look for the specials of the day and you'll get a satisfying meal.
