Overall, this place is kind of sad. Shelves are almost bare, candy displays are almost always empty. The hot food served is really tasty, but that's pretty much the only convenience this "convenience" store provides. You have to specifically ask for milk from an employee because it isn't in the fridges. The liquor is always stocked up, though, and that seems to be a reflection of the neighborhood rather than the business: they renew and stock up on what sells quickly in the area.
Love the food it's always fresh. The staff is very friendly, kind and most of all professional .
they know thier business and make you feel like family. That alone makes you want to come back again.
Out with old and in with the new. The old Sweeneys was dirty and dingy. The new Sweeneys with different owners has delicious hot and cold food. Plus the place is clean. Shop local and support owners that take pride in the shop. What a nice looking store now.
Don't be fooled by the old pic of bugs in the spaghetti box because it was a different owner!! The family that owns it now are FANTASTIC!!! The food is fresh & so good, from sandwiches to warm home cooked Spanish food! You can't go wrong!

Sweeney's has been renovated into an amazing minimart. The supply of food, drinks, paper goods, cat\ dog, hot food. They have it all!!! Prices are reasonable!! Happy to have this store down the block!
