I attended a concert by the Bardekova Ensemble on the 22nd of October. Music of Mozart, Vivaldi, Gershwin, Ellington, Celia Cruz, Joplin and others was performed. It was excellent. The members of that Temple were the most welcoming hosts. Had a great time!!!!
Remains a folksy temple on City Island. They do not charge any admission for the holiday or daily attendance. Nice option to the insanity of Manhattan
Discovered this temple when I tried the Monday night kundalini yoga class that an acquaintance highly recommended. Met a few congregants after class and was intrigued by their description of services. Reading the prayer book grabbed my attention further, so I thought I'd give them a try. Upon attending services one Friday night with my daughter, I was hooked. I enjoy the quirky nature of the members, the singing, dancing, the rabbi's talk and beginning the weekend together after services with a delicious oneg.
