The Children's Playhouse Preschool of Yonkers

The children’s playhouse is the most amazing place for children, for our family it was an extended one with the playhouse, Miss Tara and Miss Jennifer were so wonderful to my little boy Shay and went out of there way to make him feel happy and loved we got a report every evening, they never rushed us out the door and explained his daily activities, they posted a beautiful menu everyday at the door and was constantly feeding the children with the best of food, Shay learned how to dress himself and learned so many wonderful fine motor skills with them, our intentions were to return to Ireland but we now may be staying on if so we would be more than delighted for Shay to stay with the children’s playhouse thank you so much Ladies

Our experience has been entirely different from the negative reviews here on Google and I wanted to chime in. My child has been at the Playhouse for 1.5 years and we are so thankful for the caring, experienced, accessible teachers there (most have been there for 5+ years and one for 10 years). The student teacher ratio there is 4:1 and often there is even more support present than that. My child's language abilities have grown at an astounding rate and my child has also become skilled at naming feelings and working through anger and frustration. It is quite clear that the Playhouse is the life's work and great passion of it's founder, Ms. Diana, and she can clearly articulate her teaching philosophy and even writes songs for the kids and leads them in meditation techniques. The children are all diverse and kind and well-thought-out rules like identical tote bags do a great job of establishing equality and consistency. Thank you to the Playhouse and its teachers for all their hard work!

My daughter has been with the Playhouse since she was about 2. She is starting pre-k at Pearls on Monday after scoring in the 99.9th percentile on the WPPSI4 acceptance exam! All of the teachers at the Playhouse have played a huge role in that! We've always known our baby was advanced but the Playhouse has helped her excel in so many ways and has kept her challenged and INTERESTED more importantly! Looking back, I couldn't imagine sending her anywhere else and we can't wait to put our youngest in too! Thank you Ms. Diana and all of the wonderful Playhouse staff! You have become family and we are so happy that DeeDee will still have the pleasure of being with you all after school everyday! We love you guys!
