Absolutely the best specialty optometrist you will find on the East Coast!! I've been a patient for a few years so this review is long overdue but Dr. Zimmerman's expertise and compassion are unmatched! I have been to every specialty practice you can imagine for my neurovisual conditions and Dr.Zimmerman was the ONLY doctor out of dozens who was able to help me. Wherever you are located they are worth the travel and the wait. Dr. Zimmerman THANK YOU for giving me a large part of my life back!!!

I can't thank Dr. Zimmerman enough for the outstanding care I received. After struggling with symptoms for years, Dr. Zimmerman’s expertise and thorough approach led to a precise diagnosis of my binocular vision dysfunction (BVD). For the first time in a couple of years, I can see in high definition—no more headaches or double vision! Their ability to explain the condition in clear and relatable terms put me at ease and made me feel confident in the treatment plan. Dr. Zimmerman’s compassionate demeanor and attention to detail are truly unmatched. I’m already noticing incredible improvements, and I’m so grateful to have found such a skilled and dedicated professional!. DR. ZIMMERMAN SAVED MY LIFE!! This is not an exaggeration I was having terrible issues with balance, coordination, dizziness, headaches, and double vision to the point where I couldn’t drive, work, or walk unassisted. I also couldn’t read. This came on suddenly and unexpectedly over the span of a few weeks. I was originally sent to a different Neuro ophthalmologist by my neurologist who couldn’t find out the cause of my double vision but then I was referred to Dr. Zimmerman by my vestibular therapist and Dr. Zimmerman did the most thorough eye exam I have ever had in my life and was able to diagnose my binocular vision disorder and prescribe me prism glasses that instantly boosted my recovery the moment I got my glasses!!! These glasses are life changing!! Within seconds of trying the lenses for the fitting in the office I felt immediate relief of my symptoms! I didn’t want to take them off! Waiting for the lenses to come in was agony! Once the glasses came in, my progress in vestibular therapy increased exponentially and I have continued to exceed expectations. My doctors didn’t think I would be able to fully recover to my full activities. It’s now 7 months later and I feel better than I ever have in my entire life. I can do all of my normal activities, exercise like I used to, and see with a clarity that I have never seen before in my life! It is insane! I’m almost 40 and I never knew the world could look like this! Dr. Zimmerman is out here saving lives!! And the rest of the team is amazing too! Deborah at the front desk has the patience of a saint and always finds a way to fit me in for an appointment. And Heather who does the lens measurements is one of the most amazing people I have ever met in my life!!! She is so sweet and so knowledgeable! I love chatting with her! Also, I didn’t even know all of the tints you can get for glasses! I work in buildings with fluorescent lighting and I get rose tinted lenses which really help with the glare. They also help with driving clarity! Then I have a special purple like tint for my lenses that I use for my computer. Seriously I have never been so excited for glasses in my life. I have so many pairs. Ones for different outfits. Back up pairs. Reading glasses. Sunglasses. And I plan on getting more in the future. Even if you don’t think you may have a type of binocular vision disorder, I still highly recommend the Neuro Visual Center. The best eye exam in the world. The best eye doctors in the world ( I haven’t personally seen Dr. Israeloff but she is amazing too)! Trust me, it will change your life!!! I went in there thinking my life was over. Unable to walk, drive, work, or do anything on my own. Now, just 7 months later, not only am I back to my old routine, I feel and see even better than I have in my entire life. I cannot thank them enough. :)
