It was NOT the toys r us of my childhood... But in all fairness, it's NOT a real toys r us... It's an OUTLET. So, it had a bunch of toys, but, Walmart and Target had way better stuff as far as brand names and big ticket items.
Go for the nostalgia, brought ghe kids, suppoet the comeback. Needs more up to date inventory, needs a hook, board gsmes or bored games, they usdd to have magic needs that back, like Superheroes and Sports and more boy games. Didnt see anythi g the kids ard looking for this was targeted for parents, needs to market for kids. We want them back snd suceed, worth the look.
Definitely not Times Square in 40 deuce(TimesSq). I would say if you miss the nostalgic feeling of going to Toys R Us and want to share that feeling with your children go ahead. The products are a little bit pricey but one thing I must say is that everything seemed well made. Not cheap (eg 5 below). Another thing is the toys were kind of outdated could you believe they had the Lionel action figure from ThunderCats for sale($30) as if these children know anything about that. Kind of feeling like old Warehouse product. Besides that it's a great time
Man, I missed Toys R Us! After becoming a parent, I often thought about how much I missed Toys R Us. The joy it brought me as a kid is inexplicable. There was no place like it for me & my brother. Amazon Toys are not the same as what Toys R Us used to have. So hearing that Toys R Us was making a comeback, I told myself I GOTTA take my kids when it opens!
It's not the same as I remember it, obviously. I used to go to the one in MetroMall in Middle Village, Queens, NY which was HUGE. This is obviously a much smaller store, with a smaller selection but I thought it was a great start that will God-willing lead to good profits, expansion, & more locations for them in the future. I hope they get the support of the community so we can go back to having a REAL toy store in our communities for our kids. **Praying for their success 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽**
(Pictures are just a couple of the things that made me feel a little nostalgic 😂)
Great store they got a lot of different toys for all ages. Great staff and a nice place to take the kids!
