This cool, little apothecary is really set up to better people's lives. I really liked the owner's comment that they aim to provide people with access to 'soft medicine', and they do this not only by providing the raw herbs, tinctures, or pre-made mixtures, but also by offering workshops on how to use or recognize local herbs. It was cool to hear that a bunch of their bulk herbs are actually sourced from local farms!
In addition to herbs and tinctures, they also have herbal soaps, incences, meal ingredients, and teas! They're ready to answer questions and help you out if you stop by!
I made a quick stop off of 87 on my way back home and I can't say enough good things about this shop! It was beautiful and welcoming and really well-curated with an array of herbs (powder, leaf, you name it), teas, tinctures, sprays and salves... authentic high-quality plant medicine to help with everything from poison ivy exposure to anxiety to milk supply for a lactating mom. There's also some beautiful nature-themed artwork available as well. Alex, the owner & shopkeeper, is SO incredibly knowledgeable and she had hand-picked every item displayed in the store (some of which were even made by her or her apprentices) so she could answer all my questions. I wish I lived closer so I could take her classes! 100% worth a visit to see the space, learn from her and get something for yourself. What a gem of place!
An excellent place to learn and shop and just hang out. You can sip some tea while you sit and flip through a book in the little library space, or just talk to Alex and find out everything you want to know about medicinal plants.
What a cute shop! And Alex at the front desk was so helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend a drop in!
