Been here for 3 years left and came. The food is great here. Some good staff and some bad Staff members. I have a wonderful roommate. Room is clean. S

I am a resident of Wavecrest Facility since January 4th of 2024. I am quite satisfied with this facility because the staff treats you with kindness, consideration and courtesy...even when the residents do not deserve it. Also, everyone strives to help the residents become more self sufficient in their progress. Therefor, I don't feel as if I am in an adult residence, I feel as if I am in a hotel with a roommate that I have to mention that I get along with quite well. My prior two roommates I also got along with because I am a peoples person. When I left the nursing home, I hollered I want to be in my own apartment! It took me about a month to realize that God had placed me exactly where I needed to be. And so I have to thank God and my great niece for knowing exactly what I needed when I didn't know it myself.
I went for a tour last week to check out a room for my aunt Dorret. I followed a suggestion from a co worker to give this place a look.
I was not disappointed. The coordinator who guided me, Malika McCleod, was quite helpful and very informative about the costs, the room my relative would get, and about the residents in particular. When she didn't know the answer to a few of my questions, she brought in the administrator Dan Santana who cleared up everything. Mr. Santana really emphasized how Wavecrest is just like a family for both the staff and residents. He really spoke to me like he was my cousin, trying to figure out what would be best for my aunt and if she would enjoy the atmosphere of the location.
I really enjoyed my short tour; Ultimately I cannot recommend Wavecrest enough.
While touring the facility, I have noticed that it underwent an amazing renovation with all new furniture and painting. The rooms are very clean & have a great vibe. The staff was very knowledgeable, and easy to speak with.
Wavecrest recently underwent renovations, with all new modern rooms, furniture, tv/cable. The new Admissions Coordinator and Case Manager are very helpful in answering questions.
