West Point Tours is a well run tour company with a knowledgeable and well-spoken tour-guide. You must get reservations in advance. Follow their reservation instructions. The tour is mostly on bus with a couple of places where you get out for some short walking. You get to see a large part of the campus and learn about the history of the fort and school and noteworthy alumni. Worth the money and the time.
The West Point tour was both moving and interesting. Our tour guide,a former history professor at the institution, had a fabulous command of facts and presented them with humor and respect for West Point, individuals and the country. He was gracious about entertaining our questions and made the experience worth our time and money. We were disappointed that the museum was closed secondary to the government shutdown, but not at all disappointed in the tour. Highly recommend!
USMA is an amazing experience and should be included in your visit to New York. You will come away with an appreciation for the determination and endurance these young cadets master in their 47 months before graduation. The future is in good hands.
A fantastic tour of history on a beautiful campus. Our tour guide gave us an entertaining time with all the insight to make the visit a more enjoyable, interesting experience vs just walking around. GO ARMY!!!
This is the way to experience West Point! Sandy expertly chauffeured us to all noteworthy points on an air-conditioned bus with velour-lined, comfortable seats. Despite being hoarse, Tom talked continuously, pointing out buildings and fields and their historic background and current use. He was engaging, knowledgeable, friendly and well-organized. We could not have asked for a more informative tour.
