The staff at planet fitness in matamores is exceptional, but there's one employee that stands out amongst all of them, her name is Alyssa, she is the best.

Very disappointed with the gyms decision to eliminate the 30 minute workout room. No warning, no signage with effective date, nothing. Showed up after 3 days off due to my work schedule to find the room empty, all equipment removed. This change was handled very poorly and without any concern for members who used this room as an active part of their work regime. Find it surprising there wasn’t a corporate initiated survey asking members their opinion regarding the removal of this aspect of the gyms services. Clearly no consideration to members who utilized this room as an active part of their workout regime.

I've had a black card for many years now. This gym is convenient because there is likely a PF anywhere you go and I travel a lot with my work. If you're a professional athlete or have a very unorthodox fitness routine, you likely won't find all the gear you need. However, for general fitness and body development, you can't go wrong. The price of membership is cheap considering all the accommodations. I highly recommend the Hydromassage, it's a brilliant invention, God bless whoever made that crazy thing, everyone loves it, only thing we DON'T like about it is the ten minutes of a tease you get 😜 The massage chair is fantastic as well considering it targets more surface areas of the body than the hydro alone. If you get cool with the staff, they'll let you loop your session if there is no line waiting. Red light therapy is now built into the tanning booths so you can work on some color and enhance your skin eliminating blemishes simultaneously. Get in there, start sweating, and be the best version of you! 💪 As always, ladies and gentlemen, stay forever young! 🤘❤️‍🔥🐦‍🔥

I have been a member of PF since they were located in Port Jervis, NY. My experience at the gym has always been pleasant. The staff are helpful, friendly and professional and so I have come to take for granted the effort and dedication some of the long term employees show day in and day out for years. However I need to tell you about an incident on Tuesday morning 11/3 that Should not be ignored or taken for granted. When I arrived at the gym I noticed that a woman was seated near the front area and being attended to for some type of medical issue by your long term female employee who always works the morning shift. ( I am embarrassed I dont know her name) I was taken by the sincere concern and care she gave to the woman while at the same time cleaning the floor around her where liquid had apparently spilled. This is not the first time I have observed this young lady going above and beyond. She is always pleasant, even in the early morning and eager to help when issues arise…consistant, professional.
Thank you Planet Fitness and the young lady working the morning shift for making the club a welcoming place to exercise for so many years.

. The young girl who just started with the long curly hair was literally the best part of the experience. I watched her help an elderly woman fix her account. She has great customer service skills and was very empathetic with her. The staff are very good. all the staff are exceeding professional.
