We didn’t know anything about the shop before we walked in to check out their E bikes. We were blown away by Mary and Chris’s knowledge and helpful suggestions and ideas about their bikes. I don’t think it’s overstating it to say by the time we decided on and bought our two Velotric Nomad 2 bikes we felt like we had made two new friends. Lovely people with incredible knowledge of the industry and each bike they sell. Can’t recommend them more highly. What a gem to have this shop in Bucks County!
What a phenomenal day of adventure!
Mary and Chris are not only the kindest and caring business people, they provided us with top-of-the line bikes and amazing personalized service.
My sister and I lucked out with perfect autumn weather for our ride along the D&R trail. Our 15-mile trip to Lambertville and back was a memory we will not forget. We really appreciated Mary’s suggestion to take the Velotric folding bikes; they have a thicker tire with a grippier tread, and feel far less bulky than typical e-bikes-while still feeling comfortable and safe!
Looking forward to renting bikes from Voltage Bikes and getting back on the trail for another fantastic day asap!
It is rare that I feel this strongly about a business, because it is rare nowdays for businesses to be so good. Where to begin?
I first called up Voltage to ask about a sale Aventon was running. I had done a lot of research, and even though I was two states away, I thought I would call Voltage. I reached Chris, one of the two owners. Within five minutes we were talking like we were old friends. I had many questions and Chris had many answers. But also, I had many thoughts and opinions, and Chris was supremely interested in what I thought. When is the last time you not only got amazing customer service, but also found the establsihment genuinely caring about your POV? Was it in the 1990's? Were you, dear reader, even alive back then? I know it is difficult to believe but businesses used to sometimes care about their customers! Weird, right?
For me it was a no-brainer to travel to Washington Crossing, where I also met Mary, Chris's better half. Smart, practical, helpful, decent, kind, knowledgable, hardworking, with their dogs on the desk (where it makes sense for dogs to be): these are great people. Your money is not your only voice, but it is one of your voices; why not use it to speak to people worth talking to?
I ended up buying a Velotric Breeze, by the way. At under 50 pounds, I am delighted with what Chris helped me pick. And yes, coming down from Queens, NY, made perfect sense: $15 each way on Amtrack to Trenton, 9 miles from the shop. The sales tax difference alone more than paid for it, and I got to have a small adventure and meet new friends. Aren't you getting an e-bike to have exactly this kind of good time?
Best day ever! Phenomenal Owners and phenomenal Trail drove from Washington Crossing from their rental office to Lambeetbille station for lunch!! Great bikes, owners and trail!!
We just rented Voltage Bikes for the second time. We had an amazing ride on these very comfortable e-bikes. The seats provided were very comfortable and after 4 hours of riding, nothing hurt. The controls were easy to work with and I didn’t have to muscle the bike. Unlike other e-bikes
Chris and Mary are very helpful, informative and flexible. We plan to bring friends to ride with us We also recommend these bikes and this business.
