My family and I needed a place to gather on Christmas Eve. The Tavern was the place that could accommodate all 11 – 21 of us. KeSean Williams, the manager, arranged everything for us. He contacted me several times to make sure every detail was in place and to our satisfaction. His always amiable, cheerful disposition made setting everything up truly easy and stress-free. He and his excellent waitstaff created a separate section for us, with beautiful and festive table settings, delightful ambiance, and an abundance of space. When only 11 of us arrived, they cleared some place-settings for us without a single frown. Their service came with smiles, gentle queries, and the highest level of professionalism. They even gave us some complimentary champagne! When we got in their way, with easy aplomb, they managed to work around us. The chef and kitchen staff prepared a quite scrumptious meal for us, complete with a truly fresh salad and choice of 2 really tasty dressings, 3 entrees, and two choices of exquisite and decadent dessert. Served family style, the food never ran short, and several of us enjoyed more than one helping of each dish. The staff never rushed us, never blinked when we played a family gift prize game, and were incredibly solicitous of us. When my bank paused the charge to send me a fraud alert, they did not even interrupt us; they just waited until I approached them to tell them I had given my bank the all-clear and they could try the charge again. Though I chose the Tavern at Heritage Hotel because on Christmas Eve, there were few other options, I am so very glad I did! My family members and I will definitely return here for other times simply because it is managed so well by KeSean Williams, provides superb waitstaff service, and offers incredibly good food at quite reasonable rates. Don’t stay here if you actually want peace and quiet. While the facilities are nice they clearly don’t care if they have repeat customers. We specifically requested a room far from the elevators they gave us a room 3 doors away. Every night at 1am when the bar closes we are woken up to people coming back to the floor. Last night it was so cold in the lobby we asked about the fireplace and were told they don’t light it if they aren’t 50% occupied. The housekeeping staff clearly don’t care if they disturb guests with their screaming conversations & banging of doors.
The gym is awesome, the restaurant has really great food and drinks (making the slow service worth the wait) I so want to like this hotel but every time we stay here we say “never again”. What a shame

Autumn in New England is unparalleled to any other place I've seen during the Fall season. Southbury, CT is an experience within itself to embrace the historic and present day way of life. Why not check into one of Connecticut's best hotels when staying in the area. Southbury is not that long of a drive from the New York airports. Whether you're seeking tranquility and serenity not too far from the New York State line, or a vacation to see the New England country side, then the Heritage is the place for you. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The front desk staff always wants to make your stay enjoyable and are accommodating to those who were just getting in from a long drive or flight. The Tavern, their on site restaurant, is a nice place to sit and unwind with a cocktail and a warm meal. If you're looking to take a dip in the pool, or to just lounge around, there are so many places to congregate. It is definitely worth the drive and flight to get here.

Amazing hotel! We used this hotel as the room block for our wedding that was taking place at Aria in Prospect; and they were phenomenal from start to finish. We worked with Jennifer in the beginning and eventually worked with Tristan. Both absolutely incredible to work with! The communication was always 10/10, my emails were always answered immediately (like I mean within minutes every time). They were outstanding. We had quite a headache trying to work with other hotels, and Heritage made us feel so at ease with everything. I trusted them 100% and they did not disappoint! My husband and his groomsmen were able to golf in the morning while me & the girls got ready for the wedding. We also did our rehearsal dinner there which was perfect. Gina was our event manager and she was AMAZING!! I would definitely recommend this hotel- the pool & spa were great as well!

The hotel was really nice, the rooms were clean and the property is very beautiful. Nice outdoor pool with plenty of seating/loungers, the indoor pool also was nice with a hot tub. Friendly staff and easy check in/out process. They have a ping pong table and bonfire section was really nice but we didn’t get to use it during our one night stay. Wish we stayed longer! Not sure what there is to do around there so I can’t speak much about the location.

They have a pretty decent size gym which they have memberships for the non-hotel guest.
