Had the fra diavalo shrimp pizza and would not recommend it: certainly generous with the shrimp (though for $40 they should be) which were fresh, but no cheese, watery tomato sauce, and simply not a cohesive pizza pie. In fact, was more like shrimp in tomato sauce served over a crispy piece of flat read. Calamari was disappointing. Salad was good. Place was crowded with a happy-looking family crowd, so I'm guessing they are better with other varieties.
I ordered a small cheese pizza and small salad to go. I forgot to take a photo. I had a slice as soon as I got in the car so I could taste it fresh, it was good! Good flavor, the crust wasn’t too thick. The salad was sad. Only a vegetable or two. Over all, I think it was a little pricey for the two items. However, I would return to try other dishes and get the full experience.
10/2025 - Returned to visit the restaurant. Chicken bites were good. Chicken parm sandwich with alla vodka sauce was good. I’ll pass on the lasagna.
Restaurant vibes are off. You walk in & there is no hostess. You awkwardly walk all the way in the restaurant & don’t know where to go or who to speak to. A few of the booths were still messy, there seemed to be one young girl taking care of everything, she seemed overwhelmed but not flustered. She was handling it well but I felt bad for her.
The restaurant seems to be lacking something, maybe a women’s touch? It seems like a confused bar trying to be a restaurant. It’s just a “cold” vibe. When spending your hard earned money to eat, especially these days with everything so expensive, you want an experience. With a few customer service/ esthetic changes, I think it could go a long way.
We ordered for PICKUP. Pizza was delicious 10/10 very tasty. We ordered shrimp stuffed and plain gluten free, large and small. They no include medium size in their menu. My only complaint is pizza is overpriced, I paid $67 in total!! I was shocked. Also staff expected to be tipped. Almost $100 for 2 pizzas??. Overall we enjoyed the pizza. I will recommend this pizza place for sure, but I dont think I will come back in the future. Overpriced
Tipsy Tomato is a new pizza restaurant in the plaza on route 34 in Derby. It is clean and the atmosphere is excellent. I had a chicken parm grinder to go and I thought it was very tasty. Fresh sesame seed roll, plenty of cheese, and good red sauce. My only complaint was the quality of the chicken wasn't up to my standard as a food critic. Otherwise a good stop for a quick bite.

Came back to have dinner, and wow, was it
delicious. We ordered the Tipsy Fried Mozzarella - house made fried mozz topped with vodka sauce. It was amazing! The vodka sauce was the best I've ever had. I needed more lol so for my entree, I ordered the Tipsy tomato parm. Instead of the wrap, I got penne. It was delicious. The portion was huge! Had tons of leftovers. Our server Kim was awesome. Love this spot!

I've eaten here a few times. The restaurant is nice and clean. The service was ok. I've had their wings and house fried mozzarella, which were both good. This time, I ordered a pizza for delivery. I've had this pizza a few times. It's a specialty pizza. It is pretty pricy, but very good! Stiner stinger! Which is a mozzarella pie with soppressata, hot cherry peppers, onions, and white truffle honey. I did wish it had more of the truffle honey. I do enjoy their pizza, tho!
