Art's Garage

1987 240 owner. Tried 3 places (including one "Volvo expert") to fix a dangerous stalling issue. Another 240 owner in the neighborhood referred us to Art. We had the car towed over an hour to get it to him and I'm so glad we did. He clearly knows what he's doing. The car hasn't run this well in years. We'll be making the drive back to Art before going to a local shop.

Cannot recommend enough. If you have a Volvo or a Saab, go here first. Take check book along, no cards accepted yet.

He is knowledgeable about these cars and that comes from his more than 40 years of experience working on these machines. Experience counts!

Sadly Art does not work on my Honda civic :)

Art's garage is itself a piece of art. Very cool place with a friendly atmosphere and great jazz music playing whenever it's open. Art is a very good mechanic who is incredibly understanding, thoughtful, and accommodating. Been going there for many years and see no reason to stop now.

He is the only one there working, yet he performs every task of running his business in a spectacular manner. He is attentive to the phones, he does phenomenal mechanical work and in a timely manner. He is up front, honest, and best of all, you are getting great service for a great and fair price. It is hard to find a mechanic with these qualities and I am certainly glad I was recommended to him. You will not be disappointed.

Art is fantastic! He is extremely knowledgeable, honest, and an overall awesome mechanic. I have been taking my Volvo to him for the last five years and have had nothing but great experiences. He keeps my '95 850 running like a top. HIGHLY recommend him to everyone with a Volvo or Saab, especially the older models.
