Avenel BBQ

I normally order a 30$ tray probably about 2-3 times a week. I work 5 mins from here and I usually buy the bbq beef and pork ribs w/rice and veggies I’ll eat half in my car before my break is over and the other half after I get off work. This last time I ordered they made my food faster than usual so I had time to spare and decided to sit down and eat inside instead of my car. I sat down made me a plate and took out a water bottle I had in my coat. Right before I could take my first bite this dude that was at the cashier approached me and told me I couldn’t sit down and eat that next time I order on the phone I have to let them know. That I also couldn’t have any outside drinks and if I wanted to sit down I have to pay gratitude to idk who because they don’t even have a waiter. Now I get it but the least he could have done is let me finish my plate since I had no idea and considering I’m a customer who spends almost 100$ a week here. Na he made me take my plate and all my things and made me leave a EMPTY restaurant because it’s only about a few tables inside and NOBODY was sitting down eating or even coming in and out. Dude made me take everything outside in the freezing cold with a plate that I had already made from the tray. I could care less about the gratitude it was the simple fact that I made a full plate and this dude made me grab all my stuff and take it outside he couldn’t even let a loyal customer to there business sit down and eat with a empty store. There was nobody inside not even people coming in and out to pick up food the spot was dead He could of made me aware and told me for future reference and enjoy your meal but dude made me get up and take everything outside after I opened the tray and made myself a full plate. That was mad corny. And I will never bring my money back to this place.

Best Portugese BBQ in the area! I always go for the Half-BBQ Chicken with Rice & Fries and the Oreo Cake. They never let me down and the prices are phenominal

I ordered catering for a company party and the staff was lovely and very helpful, answering all my questions. The food was delivered on time and It was delivered nice and hot, and well packed. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff loved it. Favorites were the empanadas and the garlic chicken. Many thanks to the restaurant for providing an awesome meal.

I've driven past this restaurant several times before making a concerted effort to stop in for lunch. It is truly worth it. The half chicken lunch special was incredibly moist and flavorful. The waitress was very helpful, friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. The atmosphere is pretty with the pretty blue tile and bright blue chair rail paint. The music was wonderful. The seats were actually really comfortable. Great little find. We will definitely visit again!
