My wife and I have only been members for a few years but lived in this area for over 40 years belonging to another temple. We didn't leave that temple because of anything at that temple but rather came here because of what we found on a visit, here at BHSS.The warmth, charm and family feelings during each and every meaningful service. The inclusion of the members who say hello to you with sincerity and warmth is not like anything we have felt anywhere else. If you are considering a new Jewish experience let us or our rabbi know, and I can assure you, you will feel that same welcoming experience.

Very energetic and caring Rabbi. Young kids seem enthusiastic and involved. Friendly Congregation.
BHSS is a warm, family friendly and inclusive congregation. Rabbi Ilana is a caring spiritual leader who makes members feel as if they are family!
Stopped by for the Purimshpeil last week and I wanted to say how thankful I am for the BHSS Community. With kids, job, commitments, etc. I don’t get to services as often as I like, but when I do I’m so happy with the decision we made 8 years ago to become members. In good times, our bar and bat mitzvah experiences, and bad, the loss of my mother-in-law, and so many occasions in between we have been surrounded by compassion and caring from congregation members we knew as well as those we didn’t just because that’s what a community does for each other.
I never belonged to a synogogue growing up but my husband grew up Conservative. We both could not be happier. He wishes Hebrew school was like this when he was a kid and I feel like I’m getting as much out of family Hebrew school as my kids. I always feel comfortable and supported even though I can only read Hebrew in slow motion! We joined knowing some families and have made so many more friends than we could have imagined. Our older son is still part of the youth group at 16z. Love the temple; love the people and look forward to the Bar Mitzvah of our younger son next year!
