I loved the food we got on Tuesday. My family and I went to try it and honestly we all loved it. The service was great and man can I tell you the tortilla soup was so good . I give them so much credit for everything they make there. Their hot sauce is to die for . It has so much taste and I love that the people are just friendly there. I always feel welcomed. The only suggestion would be if they made tortas de milanesa de pollo. I promise you I would be there everyday because I live so close now . I moved to Port Jervis recently and I’m always in the mood for a good torta. When they add it to the menu, I can assure you I’ll be the first one in line. However even if they don’t add it I’ll be there still. ( ps.someone let the owner know it would be a great idea . )
All I can say is I wish nothing but the best to this business and everyone who works there. God bless them . They are the best!!!!
Definitely order the churros for dessert! Great selection of authentic Mexican options. Perfect for date night or out with a large group.
What an amazing experience! Great food, perfect ambience and we were blessed with Paola, quite possibly one of our most favorite waitress of all time. Have her make the Mojito for you - ON Point!
We knew El Patron was going to be fabulous because we know Carlos and his family always go 100% in everything they do but we never anticipated that it would be beyond amazing.
You can sit outside which is lovely but make sure to see the inside. Very inviting!
P.S. Have your birthday here! They really get into it.
Great food. Super service. Nice staff. Will definitely go back on our next visit.
I was craving Mexican food for lunch today, and since El Patron was just 15 minutes away and I had never tried it before, why not give it a shot? Arriving at 1pm, I got a good feeling about the place as there were several (10 or more) people dining there. But the food feeling soon stopped.
First impressions: The parking lot and surrounding area had a lot of garbage strewn around, and the lot itself needed some repair. The setting is nice, but the building itself looked a bit ramshackled.
The decor inside was typical of most Americanized Mexican restaurants. Service was prompt, and my order came out quickly, but that's where service stopped. I finished my diet coke and wanted another, but spent a majority of my time eating my meal with no refill.
The food was okay, but the presentation was sloppy, as if things were just plopped on the plate. It lacked real taste. And the price was a bit high for what it was.
El Patron, I hoped for better.
