To those who are in need of dental care, be it a simple cleaning, an extraction or soo much more, I highly recommend Dr. Russ. Hands down. Dr. Russ is caring and compassionate, he went above and beyond to make me feel as comfortable as possible during a very uncomfortable time. You see, I needed an extraction and having had major jaw surgery in the past my jaw bone structure is a little challenging. Add to that my intense fear of needles going anywhere near my mouth. My stress level was at a 10! Dr. Russ and his amazing team came up with a plan that worked well to take the edge off. The plan included a lite oral sedative and the playing of my favorite music "The Grateful Dead". While he worked diligently, being sure to check on me and my pain level during the entire process (or lack there of), his assistant Kim was there to hold my hand for the injections and talked to me the entire time. They verbally walked me through what was happening and what to expect, thus putting me further at ease. I was told if ANY worries to call and my concerns will be addressed asap. Their dedication and thoughtfulness is a blessing to the world of dentistry and I am forever grateful.

Simply, the best dental experience that I’ve had in my 72 years on this planet! Had severe throbbing pain on a Sunday. Called the office on Monday for an appointment. Kim, the receptionist, worked me in immediately. Dr. O’Connell, uses the latest in dental technology. After a full mouth scan, he explained where my issues were and showed on screen, that I had two abscesses that were causing the pain. I grind my teeth when sleeping, so I had a few chipped and broken teeth that he extracted a few days after the antibiotic took effect, eradicating the pain. The extractions, were painless! Dr. O’Connell, dose not rush anything! Explains all options clearly and asked if I had any questions or concerns. Wonderful personality and superb dental chairs. In my opinion, this is the model dental practice!! Entire staff, first rate!

Dr Russell O’Connell is one of the kindest and most genuine professionals I’ve ever met. He takes the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and always make you feel at ease. It’s clear he truly cares about his patients.

Best Doctor with amazing staff.

I had a dental emergency and was in excruciating pain, hadn't slept in days and they were able to get me in right away. As soon as I got there I was taken in the back to be treated with a zero wait time which was extremely appreciated because I couldn't take the pain anymore.

Within a few minutes Dr. O'Connell had done x-rays and diagnosed the problem and numbed my pain so that I was comfortable and no longer in pain, he explained in detail what needed to be done and explained exactly what he was doing each step in the process. I cannot thank him enough because by the time I left I was no longer in pain and could finally get some sleep.

Dr. O'Connell also called the following afternoon to check how I was feeling, he definitely is one of a kind and cares more than any other doctor I have ever had.

Highly recommend Califon Dental Arts and Dr. O'Connell they are very professional but more than that they actually care about their patients and want the best for them. If you need a dentist this is the place to go, the office is beautiful and very clean, and the care you will get is the best.
