Mixed feelings about this doctor. Being very overweight and with a recent PCOS diagnosis, he refused to prescribe any weight loss medicine and told me, extremely unprofessionally in my opinion, to just go on a low carb diet. He also has some deal with a drugmaker and they are pushing liver testing on you so you can get some medicine for fatty liver. I did that at their direction back in 2022 and there was no follow-up at all. Just "yeah you have fatty liver". Recently, I saw an endocrinologist who is wonderful and I'm already down 30 pounds since May 2024. I suppose I'll continue to go for a check up, but I didn't find his medical direction to be helpful at all, he didn't seem to care or understand what PCOS is because if he had he wouldn't have suggested to just "go on a low carb diet".
We absolutely love Dr. Casella! My whole family has been seeing him for many years now. I find him to be very friendly and intelligent. Always helpful and willing to listen. Some doctors don’t take the time to let you speak, but Dr Casella takes his time and hears what you have to say. I think that’s very important. The staff in the office is polite and nice to work with and the office itself is clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend his practice!
I have been seeing him for almost 30yrs now. He is thee best dr I have ever seen. His staff is friendly, any calls that I make are promptly returned and I can always get an appointment. His bedside manner is amazing and I really wish I could go to him for ALL of my health needs instead of specialists. I do and will continue to recommend him to anyone that asks!!
Dr. Casella is a very fine physician and in my opinion, one of the best in Sussex County. His energetic and friendly manner plus the generous amount of time spent with his patients lessens the stress of "visiting the Doctor". His office is neat and clean and his staff well trained.
