Amazing Martial Arts Academy. both of my kids have learned discipline and the love for the arts. There growth is a result of Renshi Matt and Mrs. Ashley's amazing teaching. I highly recommend.

Renshi Matt, Ms. Ashlee, and staff have made a huge difference in our kids lives. We started when our daughter was 4 and we immediately saw a positive change in her behavior. She began listening more, focusing, and maturing. Our son joined as soon as he was old enough. They both love it! Not only are the classes offered at many different times, they have many different activities and events to keep you and your family involved.

The professionals at Oak Ridge Martial Arts Academy are highly trained and skilled in their craft, which I anticipated going in. What I didn’t expect was how developmentally appropriate their way of being with very young children would be. My son is among the youngest of students served at the dojo (3.5 years) and, as is often tradition for boys of this age, he is very active! Renshi Matt and Ms. Ashlee do a beautiful job of providing clear expectations, “ignoring” behaviors that don’t meet those expectations, and celebrating/ encouraging when behavior expectations are met. The environment is well designed to support student engagement and success and there’s always something fun planned! We are so happy to have joined the ORMAA family!

We couldn't be happier with the martial arts team. Our 5-year-old son is motivated and has improved his manners. All classes are well-planned and nothing is random. It's a beautiful discipline, and this academy provides a wonderful space to learn it.

This has been an amazing experience. I am watching my own childhood unfold with my children, with the guidance, training and care from Oak Ridge Martial Arts. Matt and Ashlee working with the children is always a great. They are focused on the students, not only on their personal growth within the class but outside as well. My daughter was always a bit shy and even though it’s barely been a month she has shown to have opened up so much more. My son has started to show better listening in skills. I enjoy coming to class to watch, it’s even made me consider getting back into Karate myself. Thank you Matt for making this not just a friendly environment but making it feel like a family.
