I was really craving a Cuban sandwich and this was the first spot that showed up on my map and believe me when I say…WORTH IT! Am from the city so for me this Cuban sandwich was so damn delicious!!!! I mean a really good cuban man ! Great size and amazing flavors!! Highly recommend 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This restaurant is located at the end of a small shopping strip. Nicely decorated and a take-out order counter with ready made hot food displayed with a separate glass dessert counter. There is a separate dining room for sit down service. Counter service person was polite and efficient. Be aware that many of the in-person restaurant prices are different (higher) than their online website pricing.
Cuban Breeze blows hot and cold (hit or miss). The kids' meals were a hit, but some dishes, like the tasty Ropa Vieja and bland Cubano were both dry, leaving us craving moister meat or sauce. The Yucca Fries had potential, but without the missing citrus sauce, they fell flat. The Carrot Cake would have been good if it wasn't so sweet. Overall, it’s a good spot for the little ones, but inconsistent otherwise.
NOTES/TIPS:
**Excellent, fast service.
**Easy shared parking with high turnover in the same plaza as Dunkin Donuts, USA Karate.
**On Doordash.
I came here for the first time for lunch on a Saturday and was happy the steam trays were all full. I tried Ropa Vieja and my husband had beef stew with potatoes. I loved the Ropa vieja’s flavor but it was way too salty. The salt kind of overpowered the dish. My husband liked his stew. We also ordered a side of maduros, but it was $6 for like 7 maduros and only half tasted good. It was as if half had been reheated and half were fresh or something. The staff was all really nice and the restaurant is gorgeous and had nice murals on the walls. I’ll definitely be back to try more, but I don’t think I’ll get the Ropa Vieja again because of how salty it was. We paid $15 each person for the food, plus $6 for the maduros and $5 for 2 waters. The receipt didn’t have a spot to leave a tip so I guess if you want to leave a tip you have to bring cash fyi!
