Buying a bike at DJ’s has been the best experience I’ve had at a bike shop after 15 years of riding.
I felt compelled to write this positive review because not only did I have a wonderful experience at DJ’s cycles, I also saw all sorts of customers (3 others) come in, all of their needs were addressed with exemplary care, and everyone walked out with a smile - me included.
Ted, behind the counter, is extremely knowledgeable. I was able to call the shop, tell him my height and the type of riding I wanted to do - he said, “Yep I have two bikes that work.” It saved me so much time. He was absolutely correct too. I bought a bike. The prices are fair. The selection is wide. He set me up with a lock and suggested a couple other accessories that “I would probably want” and his advice was so valuable - I loved using the pedal straps he recommended. He even gave me a free sticker!
The personal touches are what really throw this place over the top. I told Ted I have an air pump at home - he replied, “well, you don’t need two. If you’re tires get low bring it in and use a pump here.” I never needed to air up the tires, but have stopped in several times since. Ted remembers a face :) he goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great ride.

Walked in looking for a new mountain bike on a tight budget. Found a beautiful black Marin bike with a list price of around $720. Rode it around and it handles like a dream. The owner ended up giving me $50 off because there was some scratching on the frame (which was very nice since I was on a tight budget).
10/10 would go again!
These guys are really great. I meant to post this a month ago - in early July I was biking in the neighborhood and they came & picked me up with my flat tire , and fixed my flat at the shop. I’m so thankful and I really appreciate them going out of their way to help me out. The whole crew at this shop were all every knowledgeable , helpful and kind. I will be a returning customer and just wanted to let others know how great these guys are .
