We’re so grateful to this incredible team for the love, gentleness, and compassion they showed during the passing of our beloved cat.
Saying goodbye was one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do, but your kindness and understanding made such a painful moment a little softer.🐾❤️
Thank you for the beautiful commemorative gifts to remember him by, they mean more than words can express. ✨
Your compassion will never be forgotten. 🐈⬛
I started taking my dog, Lilly, to the Dog, Cat & Bird Clinic of Nutley earlier this year, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she’s received. Our previous vet left a lot to be desired—it was everything you don’t want when it comes to your pet’s healthcare. So finding this clinic has been a huge relief.
At Lilly’s first wellness visit, we discussed her overall health and brought up a few concerns. The vet took the time to listen and suggested combining two procedures—removing a lump on Lilly’s head and her problematic rear dew claws—into one surgery. They were never pushy, just informative and respectful of our decisions. We had already planned to have the lump removed and felt that addressing the dew claws at the same time made sense, especially since Lilly is only one year old and they’d already been causing issues.
The surgery went smoothly, and the entire staff was fantastic with communication—whether by email or phone. I probably contacted them more than most pet owners would, but they were always patient, kind, and understanding. The vet who performed the surgery even reviewed some post-op photos I sent when I was worried about the healing process, and reassured me everything looked great.
Lilly has now fully recovered and had her stitches removed—she’s doing beautifully. I also feel their pricing is very fair, especially for the level of care and attention they provide. It’s clear that they genuinely care about animals and aren’t just trying to upsell or push unnecessary treatments.
Now that Lilly is all set, we’ll be bringing both of our cats to the Dog, Cat & Bird Clinic of Nutley too. I highly recommend them to any pet owner looking for trustworthy, compassionate veterinary care.
I was referred here by a friend and I’m so happy that she did. I’ve since referred more friends here as well. I couldn’t ask for a more caring, heartfelt staff. The facility is always clean, warm and welcoming. The doctors and staff are so knowledgeable, friendly, and compassionate. They are the perfect example of what a veterinary practice should be. Most importantly, they always made my pets best interest their top priority. Overall, they have been an absolute blessing in my life, as well as my pets life, and I couldn’t ask for a better facility.
This place is very clean and nicely updated, but it’s very open without any sound dampening. So, my reactive rescue dog was scared and barking a lot … and it was like echoing throughout the building! Lots of tile and high ceilings are unkind to loud girls! So I had to take her outside and wait.
It’s a VERY BUSY office, but it wasn’t a terrible wait. They took us in the side door to bypass the lobby. The room was clean and decent. They had tubs of precut treats like cheese! The vet was very nice and made fast friends with our sweet baby!
The vet was thorough, and we discussed all of our baby’s issues, meds, vaccines, etc and came up with a game plan for the next 6 months or so. So I feel very comfortable having our fur babies come to this vet clinic!
Aside from the issue with the waiting room, I will note that this vet is very pricey. But you get what you pay for (usually)! I will happily pay more for great care!
Highly recommend!
