I've been working with Dr Salam for almost 10 years to manage my nerve pain with annual steroid injections. With her help I'm able to maintain an active lifestyle comparable to 15 years ago, before my injuries. At my lowest the pain was constant, and I did not think I would be able to live pain free again. I'd consulted other doctors quick to suggest surgery and opiates. Dr Salam has listened to my concerns and understood my aversion to those courses of treatment, as well as discussed at length other methods possible to aid in my rehab, conditioning, and acheiving my health goals. But I understand my pain to be my issue, and that Dr Salam's treatment and care is only one tool in my toolbox of methods to live pain free. In defense and respose to some poor reviews, I think it's important to see Dr Salam's aid as a spot treatment, like an oil change, and not inundate her with my pain issues beyond the treatment I receive. She understands that we're in pain. She greatly wants to help, and she's really good at what she does. Don't blame her that your pain is difficult to manage. And look into other tools you can be using to maintain a pain free lifestyle beyond medications, injections, and surgery, like nutrition, diet, stretching, exercise, and actively seeking peace in things you enjoy, while having some patience and a little faith in the process. Dr Salam is a great doctor. And I know because she encourages you to fill your toolbox, and she takes pride in seeing you better. Thank you Dr Salam

Dr, Salaam is thorough, intelligent and extremely compassionate. She is not only a great doctor but she is also an outstanding communicator. I greatly appreciated the fact that she took a conservative approach to my back issues and was positive and supportive during the process. I highly recommend her and her staff. They are proactive, helpful and exemplify her approach to her practice. I am feeling much better. There is still alot of work to be done, but I am on my way now and out of constant pain.
