Amazing diagnostician. Bedside manner polite kind and nurturing
This place is seldom open when I need it to be. Several business days during the week the entire office is closed, every week. If you call sometime not during their business hours, you can't even leave a message, because the answering machine is broken.
I also had a medical issue (the first and only one that I came to them for) that was prompty dismissed. They gave me some common sense advice and sent me on my way. No concern or investigation even considered, much less pursued.
You could still go here if you didn't mind all of that though I guess. They're kind, just not helpful.
I've been seeing Dr. Rota for years. He's patient, knowledgeable and has a great demeanor. I recommend him highly. I've seen some comments about the office operation and difficulty that people have had getting beyond voicemail. But I made a call today and got through immediately. The staff members I spoke with were very friendly, courteous and helpful, so it appears they've listened to feedback from patients and made some welcome and positive changes to their system.
I have been a patient of Dr. Rota's for a few years, but I'm sorry to say I will not be anymore for one reason: the worst office staff I have ever dealt with in a doctor's office. I have no complaints about Dr. Rota himself; I've always had good experiences coming to see him, he has great bedside manner, and is very competent. But anymore it is impossible to contact his office. No matter when or how many times I call, I cannot speak to anyone on the phone – only an automated service. And I never receive calls back. Moreover, my prescriptions have been called in wrong multiple times now and it has taken upwards to an entire week to correct them. This means an entire week in which I have been without medication that I need. I cannot express strongly enough how dissatisfied I am with this office. This is sad because, as I said, I have no complaints about Dr. Rota himself.
Dr. Rota was recommended to me be ER and CC U nurses when I was in Princeton Medical.Center. He is the very best doctor I have ever had. He is thorough, he remembers, he is patient and professional. He listens and hears what a patient has to say. Wonderful doctor!!!!
