So stick with me on this review. Like many people I don't keep up with some of my medical visits. Dr. Cohen was one I was remiss on. A little back story. I had a knee replacement surgery a short while ago but since then I had recurring leg spasms which I assumed was related to the surgery. M
The Ortho assured me after a couple of visits that couldn't be the case.

Frustrated I sought help from a neurologist who ordered an MRI and a nerve conduction test. Those tests found a pinched nerve in my lower back. First PT then an injection and finally a lamenectomy. True I did get some difference but still the spasms continued for a very long time.

Fast forward a bit and I finally decided to catch up on missed doc visits so off I went to see Doc Cohen. After the usual exam he asked about my overall health.

Within seconds of touching my foot he smiled and said you have a pinched nerve and probably tendonitis. I laughed thinking about my back surgery and how that did NOTHING for my spasms and I was very skeptical.

I will never again question Dr C, he suggested orthopedic shoes/sneakers might help. He measured me and a little while later they arrived.

I can't say the spasms are completely gone but now I know more about when to expect them and what to do about them. My Ortho sneakers are great and I sleep thru the night again.

As an added benefit they look great and not what I expected. Dr C has been in practice for a while and as a result he has seen and treated a large percentage of foot issues. And ya gotta love a guy that touches your feet and makes a spot on diagnoses that's 100 percent.

I'm waiting for a little trial period and then heading back for custom orthotics which I am hopeful will slay the spasms beast forever.

Side note. I said I know more about when to expect the spasms and one of the triggers were no or bad slippers. I now own, yes they make them orthotic slippers. They're great too.

If ya have ANY foot issues, make a stop at Doc C you will not regret it

Found Dr. Cohen through my insurance app. I was having some pain and they were able to get me in the same day I called. The doctor and office staff were very friendly. I ended up having an allergic reaction to the antibiotics I received (no fault of Dr. Cohen, I was unaware I was allergic) and I had to call him on his emergency number early in the morning on a day the office was closed. He answered the phone quickly and called in a new prescription when my pharmacy opened. I have never received such prompt responses from a doctor before! Despite being in pain, the overall visit and interaction with the doctor has been a pleasant one. I definitely recommend!
