Ive been a customer of Dunlevy’s on an off for about 30 years. Last Thursday I went over and met a friend. We had a couple of burgers and beers. The burgers were overcooked, and the fries were cold. the most disappointing part of the meal was when the check came. $80 for a couple of beers and burgers and a tip to the server was a little extreme, especially for that environment.
Went here the other day for lunch the service was wonderful and the food was excellent. The atmosphere itself seemed like it needed some revamping but still a great place and prices were good. Will definitely be coming back to try some more things on the menu as a lot sounded delicious.
Food was amazing! Had Hot Road Beef absolutely delicious. Wife had shrimp and chips and was also amazing. Everything came out hot and fresh in large portions.
One of the most expensive places to eat…. And completely not worth it!
.
We’re had to pick up our car at the mechanic (which is right down the road) later than expected, so we figured to pop in and grab dinner. While the parking lot was full, there was only one table with diners, so we were seated quickly.
.
I usually grab wings at places like this and hike smokes, I almost had a heat stack looking at the prices! 6 wings for $12.95 is absolute robbery. 10 wings….4 more wings…just four more wings runs you $21.95!!!! Unreal. I refuse to pay that and look at other options. Reuben sandwich, $19.95?
.
This place has been around forever, and it was on the verge of closing a couple years ago, but apparently it came back to life. We are all for going to non-chain, restaurants, supporting mom and Pop joints, but for the love of God if these are the prices that they’re going to charge, then the place should just close because they are absolutely ripping everyone off that walks through that front door.

My girlfriend got the French Onion Soup and the fish and chips and was happy with it. Well, happy with the fish and chips. The French onion soup, while very cheesy…. Had no real beefy/onion taste. Broth tasted very watery, with not many onions. I guess they feel that if you give someone a cheesey crock of whatever, the cheese makes up for it…
.
I just opted for the “Chicken and Chips” basket (which according to the menu) made it seem like the chicken was going to be just like the fish, bartered, fried, higher quality “chips”….. no. I got over cooked chicken fingers and crinkle cut fries. If I even got her fries (which were much better), it wouldn’t have been half as bad. But sadly no. I did get a big protein of chicken fingers (about 6. It was five whole ones and then they threw in a free broken small pieces that would’ve equaled six). But again, standard Sysco chicken fingers that were dry and overbooked.
.
Waiter was great, Place has a cool, log cabin vibe. Seating is weird, with curved booths all around, the bathroom had no heat, as when she came back she was frozen, shocked their puppies don’t freeze as it was that cold in there.
.
I don’t know. We’ve been there before in the past. We’re done though. Wasn’t worth the price for what we got.
Great local dive, old school atmosphere. Gets very crowded with locals, there was a 20 minute wait on Saturday at 430. Large menu of typical irish themed bar food. I had the special of pork chops and french onion soup, both were great. Even though it was packed the waitresses were very friendly.
