We’d been getting recommendations for this restaurant forever and finally decided to give it a shot and we were so glad we did.
We arrived on the earlier side and it was a one woman show with our hostess taking our order and heading to the back to cook one delicious plate after the other!
I highly recommend the tacos al pastor but everything was fantastic! The food was also very reasonably priced which was impressive considering how apparent it was that each thing was being individually prepared.
The guacamole was the best I’ve ever had!
We had lunch yesterday at this place based on great reviews.
We arrived around 1pm.
The place pretty empty not sure why. There was a woman came out from the kitchen once we walked in.
There was no any complimentary tortilla chips like any other Mexican restaurants.
There was no any utensils on the table either. Only napkins.
So we both ordered tacos, carne asada and Al pastor and both were great.
I ordered Togo flautas de pollo and bistec ala mexicana (I love the container, separate with the beans, rice and the beef)
The beverages options only sodas that they have in the refrigerator, other beverages that they have in the menu is not available.
And yes the service can be a bit slow. When she brought us the tacos was not that long. But we had to wait a bit longer for my Togo meal. Overall was good.
The food is delicious! Gorditas are my favorite, with pork and green sauce. But be prepared to wait, service is slow. But that's part of the home cooking done here. Good food takes time. The dining room is decorated with many colorful decorations. Lots of real coke in bottles!
Hidden gem. The food was so good. The guacamole was fresh and flavorful. Homemade tortilla chips were amazing. I ordered the chicken empanadas and was shocked at how good they were. Finally, I got the enchiladas. I got them with the red sauce. They were just right for me, but I recommend the green sauce if you are not used to spicy food. Will be definitely returning. The menu looks like it used to have Tortas. Hopefully, they bring those back. They are perfect for lunch. Sorry, there are no pictures of the empanadas. They were gone before I could take a pic.
The staff was friendly and the food was delicious and fresh. Especially enjoyed the guacamole appetizer and treat leches cake was amazing. The only problem was the side of beans with my stuffed pepper entree was cold. Portion sizes were very good. I did feel a little chilly sitting by the window.
