Friends of Hopewell Valley have done a great job here. The walking trail is beautiful and such a great variety of wildlife to see.
Shouldn't come here after rainy days. The trail is super muddy and hard to avoid the mud. It is a nice trail when it's dry and sunny.
Nice little walk. Pretty well marked. Quite a few small water crossings but not anything wide. We went in February when the temperature was 36 degrees and any mud was still frozen. Looks like it could have been somewhat muddy otherwise.
Easy, short trail. Loop with mandated direction is nice for covid. Lots of signs noting the park will be closer for several days in the fall due to hunting.
This is an especially nice walk (1.2miles) when the red maple trees are at their most colorful state. At the half way point the trail crosses a stream where a bench has been placed. There is also a connection trail that leads to the Mt Rose Trail system on the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Reserve. While no deer hunting occurs on Sundays, check sign on posted hunting dates... The trail will be closed then.
