My son started taking guitar lessons with Ian at 7, and for the last two and half years, Ian has done an amazing job. I highly recommend using Ian as your music teacher. He makes music fun. Instead of trying to force a music instrument on your child, my son looks forward to each lesson and wants to practice. To me, that the sign of success.

Can’t recommend Ian enough. I decided to pick guitar back up after college and it’s been so much fun all thanks to him. He’s incredibly organized with his music software and lesson plans and encourages students to learn songs they actually like. I really appreciate how I can choose any song and he’ll break down the sheet music into something I can play at my beginner level.

Ian is an amazing teacher! He’s super patient, motivating, and really good at guitar. In the 6 years he has been teaching me I have never felt uninterested or bored. Strongly recommend.

As an adult with a full time job and without any previous formal guitar training, Ian has done a great job teaching me the fundamentals of classical guitar and music theory while being flexible with my schedule and learning goals the past year.

Ian seems to really enjoy what he teaches and shows some of that passion during our conversations about all things guitars.

He also has a canine assistant (Floyd) that does a great job supporting us during some of our sessions when he's comfortable. Floyd is cool.

Overall, would recommend contacting Ian if curious about lessons.

I started taking lessons with Ian a few years ago along with my youngest daughter. Ian is a great teacher. Within a few months my oldest daughter started lessons also, and they both really love learning the guitar with Ian. After a short time, we were playing several songs and Ian kept coming up with new lessons and helping our technique. It's a fun, relaxing environment and you'll get a lot out of it. Highly recommend!
