It's a gem. Beautiful setting in the Pine Barrens. Great hiking and biking trails.

Potholes on the driveway so take it easy when parking. Preserve was fantastic. It has edible blueberries and other varieties along the route for snacking and keeping the kids busy while the adults take in the scenery.

Beautiful place for a hike! A little over 6 miles on the red trail, which loops around. Very buggy so bring spray and protective clothing and be prepared to reapply the spray. Views were lovely, lots of birds and cute little toads around. Loved learning about the way the preserve was created and the little lookouts, benches, and chairs along the trail! My partner and I had a great time.

Finally got a chance to kayak Chatsworth Lake and it is beautiful, but just a word of caution it is stumpy. With the tea stained water you can't see much to begin with, but if you kayak along the outer edges in the weeds there are hidden stumps you can't see. Easy to lose your balance if you don't proceed with caution.

If you're carting in your kayak be careful crossing the road from the parking lot. After a bit I packed up then spent some time on the red trail, the area is just beautiful I wish I lived closer to see more of it.

If you can go during peak leaf color change I highly recommend. Great trails and pretty views. Quiet yet trails are wide open and markers are often posted. And if you keep a picture of the map from the beginning there shouldn’t be any confusion.
It’s a flat trail and there are multiple options.
