Hike here at your own risk! Between the two of us, my husband and I encountered seven ticks after hiking on this trail. That is by far the highest number of ticks I have ever encountered out of all the parks/trails I've visited. I'd definitely recommend wearing long sleeves and hats at the very least (though even doing that didn't seem to help us much).

Gorgeous trail… HORRIBLE AMOUNT OF TICKS!! Make sure to burn your clothes in the dryer and yourself in the shower when you get home… I was left picking them off me for hours.

Fun trail with lots of boardwalks. We came during a dry spell so there was no problem with mud and water. We attempted once in the spring and it was too wet and buggy. Very nice trail if you time it right.

What can I say it was very up close and personal for a wetlands trail. It's a loop. It's all board bridges and muddy passages. I can tell you that the little mini boards are very rickety and very slippery. Please watch your step.
One missed step and you can find yourself in the water and or bog. They do need repairs out there on the boards. One part of the trail was damaged. The chicken wire netting on the boards needs to be replaced in spots. Not a place for dogs at all. I figure it's going to be very buggy out there in the spring and summer. It was gnats there today. This was a one and done for me and my hiking friend.
