Went just before nightfall so unsure if this was a good idea or bad idea to go solo, but given it was my first time there it's an fairly easy paved 3+ mile trail to follow. Therefore for me is was a very brisk and cold nighttime walk, so good thing I brought a headlamp because it got dark quick.
Paved 2 mile path with slight incline at certain points. Good for bike riding, waking/running, strollers. The loop does not have any shade and can feel warm, sun protection and dog shoes recommended on hot days.
This place is Great if you want to get away and see the country. Has a two to three mile loop trail all paved. It has a little bit of elevation gain. There are nice views different ends of the loop. It is well maintained and very clean. There is never a lot of people there. I generally see walkers or runners. A nice parking area with a gazebo where you can eat picnics. There is one outhouse. There are a bunch of challenging geocaches in the park. A lot of the walk is out in the open so bring a hat or sunscreen.
Trail for just enough energy, not overkill. Paved mostly. Horse friendly, our dogs were super excited to see a horse. Very tranquil walk.
I had a weekday afternoon adventure riding my bike and hiking at Arney’s Mount Park in Springfield Township! These trails are fairly new so I wanted to go see the highest point in Burlington County for myself. I hiked up the red trail which was less than a half mile. Then I rode my bike around the yellow trail which was about 2.5 miles. For being 243 feet above see level, there wasn’t a scenic overlook because the trails don’t go to the top which is covered in trees and a cell phone tower. The highlight of my adventure was stopping at the historical Arney’s Mount Friends Meeting House and Burial Ground! The meeting house was built in 1775 but the burial grounds are still in use and predate the building with many unmarked graves. If you’re looking for good place to explore nature and history head over to Arney’s Mount ⛰️🥾🚴♂️⛪️ #arneysmount #adventuresinsouthjersey #hiking #history
