Man I don't typically give out 5 stars however my experience today at Freezpak in Carteret NJ was well worth it. I guess if I could find anything wrong it would be there was a 4wheeler parked in front of the sign that tells you to go Left to shipping I went right and had to back out. It's kinda tight but plenty of room to do a U-Turn to get set up properly. You show up park on the right b4 the guard shack walk into the office area and check in. All the staff in the office were friendly they acknowledged my presence immediately unlike a lot of places where they know you are there they just don't look at you 🥴. I was given a door immediately and they started loading immediately! 15mins for 40k of product.They sent me a text saying I was finished b4 the last pallet was put into my trailer. Walked back to office signed for my bills and got out of here! 47mins from start to finish can't beat that! I will definitely comeback if I see any loads shipping to here! Oh yeah and they have a food truck that showed up as I was leaving that upset me because I've heard and read good things about it.

After I arrived later than scheduled;, due to my first delivery taking absurdly longer than expected. Due to the delay of my first delivery, my Federally regulated electronic logging device did not show adequate time to safely Arrive at Freezepack without speeding and breaking the law. Needless to say that wasn’t an option. However Needless to say I was unable to make it to my second delivery at the scheduled time. I was late (10-1030 am appointing original appointment at 0730) upon arrival they told me I would be charged $245 for late fees (even though they were notified I would be late and that The circumstances around it.)
So upon arrival they would work me in. 22 hours later, the next morning, I had gone in to check if they had a door yet. I was told I should have checked with night shift (who later admitted night shift does export to docks not receiving) which I informed him, I didn’t know there was a night shift. So I was told that either I reschedule or I wait to get worked in. Already late and behind my next time sensitive load, we opted to wait and after sending a heavily weighted email I was finally put in a dock. At 0830 was docked. Unloaded at 1045. Charged 435 dollars for late fees and lumper fees.
So be aware. Even you abide the law and are safe responsible drivers. They’ll put you through the ringer for it and it’s expensive.
But the views not bad. And there’s a good truck that arrives noon. Overnight parking as well. :)
