Genesis painted the exterior of our home very well, but when we contrated them later to paint the foundation and patio areas, the job was definitely sub-par.

We do not speak Spanish and there was often a breakdown in communication during the second job. We had just completed extensive masonry in the patio area and front entry (new paver sidewalk and masonry stairs) and paint was dripped everywhere in the front and on the new patio extension. The team that had done this second job were definitely not the same painters that had painted the exterior of the house. I tried continually to communicate with the second team what was needed, but they repeatedly got it wrong. If there had been direct onsite supervision and a daily check in on the progress of the job by the owner during this 3-/12 day, it may have been fine. I know they often tried to call him and he was often unavailable by phone.

When I discovered all of the paint splatters at the end of the second day, he answered my call and told him about the splattered paint, and that they had painted areas that i had asked twice for them not to pain, which they painted anyway. Very frustrating. He showed up the next day, very apologetic, but the paint drips are still evident and we were pretty upset to have spent tens of thousands of dollars on the masonry project, to have it looking as it does now due to carelessness and having part-timers do the job. This is the reason for the 2 star review.

We spent a lot of money on the original exterior job and quite a bit for the second job. We're most disappointed in the second job.

If you decide to hire Genesis, be sure you're getting his professional team and not the part-time team. If the job is small, be sure someone on his pro team is onsite there to supervise and can communicate in English. I used Google translate, but it was still not good enough to communicate. When the owner isn't onsite, get assurances that the he will be on-site at the start of each day and at the end of the day to check on the progress. Also, he should be available and will pick up his phone when called. This was a great point of frustration because his mailbox was always full and I could not get hold of him to convey to his crew what we needed.

Of Genesis I will say,he is a good sub-contractor and his crew is hardworking. If the communication and supervision issues can be worked out I think he has great potential to be a very successful independent contractor.

They did an excellent job preparing the walls and ceilings, painting and cleaning up. Very nice to work with and the quality is excellent. I would definitely work with them again.

If someone is trying to find a trustworthy and skilled painting company. I'll suggest this person because they did an incredible job at my new residence.

Very nice workers and respectful. The work is done in a good order and they are respectful when it comes to cleanliness. I would recommend them in New house construction or occupied houses.
