Pleasant Italian restaurant we went before a night out we got there early but my time we were leaving at 630 it was starting to fill up on a Saturday. I had chicken franchese which was excellent and filling and nice hot fresh bread. Wait staff was prompt and kind. Definitely recommend for a nice Italian dinner will be back.

Haven’t dined at Goodfellas in over 20 years and it’s just as I remember it. Enjoyed the grilled pork chop with broccoli rabe and sausage! Will definitely be back.

Classic Italian-American cuisine. As the name insinuates, this joint has a very reserved balance of being thematic and not doing it too much. Besides some pictures on the wall and the poster in the main entrance, nothing else is screaming in your face about the film. It’s a proper restaurant like any other. Good clean linens, good wine service, and server manners. The manager or owner was very attentive and made great wine pairing recommendations as well as touched basically every table in a very nonchalant way. The food was not mind blowing, I hate to say it. Its good, just not knocked out of the park. Little things like using anchovy oil on the Caesar salad instead of crushed anchovies takes away from that salty tang you’d expect, and instead added a layer of anchovy aftertaste that lingered in my mouth for the rest of the night. Unfortunately the lettuce was also washed and not properly dried, so the oil separated from the water and the leaves were shiny with most of the dressing run off and on the bottom of the plate. But to be honest this is me being extremely picky. All in all I would still make a round back and it was a good experience nonetheless. The veal was done just right and the sauce was muah phenomenal.

Wow wow wow! This restaurant is so beautiful and the food is top tier. Fresh hot bread served with a dipping sauce of oil, balsamic, red chile peppers, and white cheese when you get seated. I got the lunch special of lobster ravioli with shrimp and peas. So filling and fresh ingredients. The staff is so friendly and welcoming it really brings a warmth to atmosphere.
This is the classic Italian style restaurant you need to try. I will be coming back again.

GoodFellas Restaurant in Garfield, NJ is full of old-school Jersey Italian charm.
