This is my favorite place to eat on LBI. Service was excellent! Now the food is out of this world. Best calamari I have ever had in my entire life and the lobster tasted like it was drenched in butter without any butter on it! 11/10 WILL be back again and again!
We live on LBI for part of the year and really like HC Shellfish Co. The problem (and the reason for the low "atmosphere" review) is the lack of parking. While there is a small parking lot (fits about 10 cars), if you don't get there within the first ten minutes they are open, forget it. And the parking situation in all of Harvey Cedars is atrocious. The town keeps approving new restaurants with zero added parking and there is almost no street parking. We've tried to go twice this summer (once in early June and again in late August) and couldn't park, so we gave up. And they close for the season by Labor Day, so there is no option to go in September after the crowds leave. A good local restaurant (cash only) if you can find a parking spot.
This is one of my favorite restaurants on LBI! The service is unmatched and the food is even better. Celia is a phenomenal server- attentive, hard working & so sweet. The linguine and clams & the fire cracker shrimp are my favorites I’ve ever had! The rest of the staff and owners are all incredible. You always feel like you’re at home when you’re here!
Our absolute FAVORITE place for dinner on the island! We had been going here for many years, while vacationing on the island (we would vacation for a week and be here 4-5 night...it is THAT good!) Now that we have moved closer, we are thrilled to know we can go anytime that they are open! Harvey Cedars Shellfish has a great atmosphere where the team becomes friends, and the food cannot be matched! And when you DO go, get the clams casino...You can thank me later!
First time visiting this Little Gem and all I can say is WOW-WOW! All of our Seafood dishes were amazing and fresh including the Steamed Lobster, Calamari Veracruz and the Baked Crab Cakes. That calamari dish was the best I ever had. Even the Corn on the Cob and the Garlic Bread were simply delish! The Service and Atmosphere were also top notch. Thank You Scott (our waiter) for a very enjoyable evening! Happy to see you take Credit Cards now. We Will Be Back!
