Food was tasty, however the General Tsos Chicken was dry, not tender. The place is clean and service is fast. Again the chicken was dry . Otherwise I'd give 5 Stars.
Food that should have took 15 minutes took 45 minutes and I called ahead and they are pretty expensive for Chinese food
Haven't been happy w/local chinese takeout & discovered this one. It's a good 20 min drive but was worth it. The food was very good and I'll be back!
A small takeout Chinese eatery with a fairly standard menu selection bearing high average prices. Hong Kong Express serves americanized Chinese fare. Set in a small strip mall, there seems to be adequate parking. Upon entering, the first impression is clean. Featuring newer furnishings, decor and construction. As a child took my order and payment, this is clearly a family business.
So I've only had one dish at this place. I can say for freshness of ingredients, it's excellent. For amount of meat added, average. Unfortunately my dish was extremely bland. I had to add 7 packets of various sauce and that was still not enough. As I make this dish at home, the main sauce is soy. I wish I had grabbed more.
Speaking of sauce, no sauce, forks, chopsticks or napkins were added or offered. I'm glad I checked and added on my own.
This business succeeds in 2 major ways most other Chinese places don't (freshness and cleanliness). I hope I just caught an off dish. I'd return, but until I had a better dish, I wouldn't recommend.
I do wish the soups would come with crispy noodles, but other than that, everything else is delicious. Never a bad meal from here. I love that you can get lo mein in your combo for a little upcharge, but their fried rice is so good, either way is a great way to go.
