Jennifer has been a great guide and teacher in my singing journey. She has taught me to sing operatic arias as well as music from Broadway shows and contemporary artists. She is open to music I select as well as making recommendations to expand my abilities. And she is always encouraging. We often work on more than one song at a time. Each time, we find new things to explore and improve, building my experience. She is always sharing new techniques and theory she acquired from attending conferences. She is an artist herself, who performs with local opera companies, so is continuously learning and challenging herself as well.so she understands what her students are working towards. Being an adult, it sometimes takes more time and work to achieve something that might come easier for a young person, however, Jennifer has the patience and knowledge to help you achieve something you might never has known you could. Would recommend her to beginners and experienced singers alike.
Jennifer Cece has not only been a great vocal coach, but also a kind, encouraging, inspiring mentor and friend. Taking voice lessons with and becoming one of her students for 7 years was one of the best decisions I made. She gives invaluable advice about life and with singing and really does want to get to know you better outside of being a performer. Her breathing techniques and knowledge of yoga improved my own vocal skills. Taking lessons with her built my confidence as a singer and person. Jennifer expanded my vocal range by singing jazz, Broadway, folk and pop to my repetoire. Most notably, she took me outside of my comfort zone by introducing me to the world of opera and years later, that led me to performing with her & The New York Opera Forum in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro. During my time in middle school and high school, I have won talent shows, was chosen for select choirs and county choir, performed the national anthem in a local Memorial Day service, sang at benefits and had solos in school events. I also received a Talent Grant going into Muhlenberg College and performed in two Opera Workshop Showcases. Jennifer went out of her way to come to some of these performances in high school & college! Even though I’m no longer Jennifer’s student, she remains a strong supporter and a good friend, playing a big role in how I have gotten to where I am today.
Amazing, truly I can not express how amazing she is. You are very fortunate if you get to work with her. The picture is from the Princess event at River Vale
