First time ordering and I'm glad I did.
They are noted to be #1 Mexican Cuisine/Restaurant in Mercer County NJ. I ordered 3 empanadas (2 Chicken & 1 Beef) w/ Homemade chips and everything tasted Soo good. The empanadas are great option for lunch or dinner (whichever you prefer). Each meat choice were well seasoned and savory. The empanadas also came with a side order of lettuce and cheese blend, 2 sauces (green and dark red) which both had a kick of spice.
Lastly, the empanadas where a good sizell!!
Well worth it. Try La Taquiera for yourself.

Clean restaurant, friendly and serviceable staff, and amazing tacos!

Chips and salsa were brought to our table as we waited for our food, which was a huge plus for me. I ordered the Al Pastor tacos and they made my taste buds so happy. Can't wait to come back when I'm in the Trenton area again and explore more of the menu!

I’m absolutely obsessed with this place and their empanadas! I’ve only tried the chicken empanadas and the chicken tacos (aka flautas), and both are so good. I seriously crave their empanadas all the time.

That said, I came by today (Thursday, June 5) and noticed the chicken chunks inside the empanadas were a lot larger than usual, which threw off the texture a bit (a pic of the chicken chunk that was inside is provided below; too big). Also, there wasn’t as much of the red sauce inside—and that’s honestly the best part! Just a heads-up to the kitchen to keep an eye on that, because the usual balance is perfect.

I really love this place and don’t want to go anywhere else for empanadas—this is the only spot that makes them taste like they came straight out of a Mexican household. Super authentic and delicious every time.

I'm not sure if they're under new management, but this place had a whole new vibe!
I stopped in to grab lunch, and they were ready to rock and roll! I really appreciated that is was in and out in less than 10 minutes.
My tacos were great. They were stuffed! I also love that they have a 2 taco & rice platter. $16 bucks is a little steep for it, but it is a respectable portion.
I really liked the rice. I could smell the real butter in it. That tells me someone took time to make this well.
I looooove the red "salsa" that comes the tacos. It's GREAT on the rice.
They have lunch specials now. There's outdoor seating.

Traditional Mexican food. Free chips and salsa while dining in. Prices are a bit high. The quality of cooking has improved from when they originally opened. There isn't really table service here but they do carry your order out from the kitchen after you order. Outside seating available weather permitting. Good variety of items available on the menu.
