Friendly and compassionate team that genuinely cares for my Annabelle. Added bonus: recently modernized and beautifully renovated facility.
We've been using Larchmont for years for our dogs health visits, grooming, teeth cleaning and any issues that come up. Ots a great place with wonderful people working there taking care of your precious pets. Definitely give them a try you wont go anywhere else after that.
My cat was not feeling well and they took her right away. They listened to me describe her symptoms carefully and provided excellent care. We have been with Larchmont Animal Hospital for over 20 years and the new Vets are as wonderful as the ones who retired. Excellent care with compassion.
Larchmont Animal Hospital has been taking care of my dog Leopold since he came to live with us in late 2014.
Leopold has always been relatively healthy, but about a year ago, he had some large cysts on his back.
Dr. Odgers was kind and extremely efficient with his surgery. She removed more cysts than we could see, he healed nicely and he was very quickly back to his old self. Her reassurance and skill really helped calm my fears about him going under the knife.
Since then, every visit has been very pleasant. Leopold had previously had an issue with anxiety and would need to take medication before his yearly visit to calm him down. Over time, Dr Odgers was able to reduce his anxiety about his visits without medication simply by taking a different approach. Last time, he received about 6 vaccines without so much as a whimper.
About two weeks ago, Leopold was not feeling well. I was able to get him seen after their last scheduled patient for the day. He was not eating and was having difficulty breathing. During the visit, it became clear to both Dr. Odgers and myself that Leopold was far worse off than we knew.
After an x-ray, a significant amount cancer was found in his body.
This did not come up on his routine blood test a few months prior and with no outward signs of trouble – None of us had any idea he was suffering.
While presented to me as a choice – He wasn’t going to get better, and I knew we did not have another option and we needed to end Leopold’s pain.
On the worst day of any pet owner’s life, Dr. Odgers and the staff at Larchmont Animal Hospital were extremely compassionate; they gave me and my family ample time to properly say goodbye to our best friend, I know he went out comfortable and loved.
While I am at this time no longer a client of Larchmont Animal Hospital, they will be my first stop if I ever decide to adopt another pet, and I am forever grateful to the care they provided my boy until his very last breath.
I cannot recommend this practice enough.
We came in yesterday with our sweet old man, Mister. In the end, there was nothing more we could do for him than let him go. The staff was incredibly supportive and patient with us as we came to our decision and grieved our loss. Dr. Odgers is absolutely wonderful and while the outcome is never what you want to hear as a pet owner and lover, she really did help us come to terms with the situation. You can tell that everyone in this practice has a great deal of empathy for our pets and for us as well. After poor experiences with other vets, i can confidently say that we won’t be going to anyone else for the care of our pets. Thank you to the staff at Larchmont Animal Hospital and especially Dr. Odgers, we are forever grateful for you.
