We've worked with Mattsson Roofing over an extended period, first to mitigate issues with our old roof as it reached the end of its life, and finally to do a full roof replacement. Throughout the entire process, from inspection to material selection to installation, they were professional, thorough, and efficient. Special mention for the exceptional communication during the roof installation - we always knew what was going on, and what was coming next. We're very happy with the final result, and have no reservations recommending them for your roof project.

It all started one night during a rain storm and my son said it was raining in his room. Obviously not good. Our roof was old, so we knew it needed to be replaced eventually, but now it was the time. Knowing more rain on the way, I quickly polled friends in town and only one name came up, every time, Mattsson. That was the list everyone gave me, one name, and they did not disappoint.

From the start, I called in a somewhat panic, knowing the existing leak and left a message that evening. The following morning I had a return call from the owner, Erik Mattsson, that quickly. We aligned on a time he could get someone out to look, one of their reps named Robert.

Knowing we needed to replace the roof, Robert came out and explained the entire process as thorough as one could. He was with us for about 2 hours. He crawled around our attic, took lots of pictures and walked through our situation, what we could expect and what he would or would not recommend to do. He gave us a few quotes based on a few different scenarios. Our house has 2 different roofed areas and one area is newer than the other, so he had quoted the whole house, or just a portion, etc. Before he left, however, he got up onto our roof, and hammered down a tarp over my son's room area, and that stopped any leak for the time being, which was unnecessary, but extremely appreciated.

We eventually went with the whole roof option, including gutter replacement with gutter helmets. We live in a heavily wooded area with lots of trees, so we needed something to keep debris out of the gutters.

Given the scope of our work, we heard again from Erik who wanted to take a closer look at a few items to ensure there were no surprises, which I greatly appreciated. He came out and did a walkaround, updated a few items and then on to Craig, our Production Manager.

Craig was basically my best friend for a month. We texted about scenarios and timing. Knowing the size and scope of the project, they worked to accommodate timing that worked best for us at a time when our kids would be away and my wife and our dog would not be around. Given the patch work by Robert, there was no immediate rush, but we obviously wanted to get it over with.

Craig shared lots of details, expectations, answered every question I had, no matter how simple or silly or in depth. He made us feel at ease from beginning till end. He gave us tips on how to keep the attic protected and how best to clean it up afterwards. He was reachable at almost any time of the day or night or even weekends. Really unnecessary, but extremely appreciated.

The project started on a Monday, and the team got to work quickly and efficiently. Steps were taken to ensure our landscaping and the rest of our property was as protected as possible. Given we have a pool, they also made sure to take extra care around it to avoid nails and excess debris from falling in its area. The whole project was about 2 and a half days, and I was constantly getting updates from Craig on how things were progressing. Everything, however, went off without issue. I included some photos Craig took from the roof and from their drone. Of note, after Robert looked at our attic, we decided to replace the entire decking of our main roof, as it was an original roof and the decking was not in great shape. One of the pictures shows the job the crew did leaving a gap for a ridge vent which also eliminated the need to saw through old plywood.

Again, everything was seamless, communication was impeccable and transparency was incredible. I cannot recommend Mattsson enough. Being in the customer service business myself, they truly made me feel like a valued client from the first email even through, after completion. As all my friends said, call Mattsson, I cannot say how right they were. A roof can be a stressful project, but they made it so easy, and cleaned up so thoroughly, it's like they were never even here and now we have a beautiful new roof!

Do not know where to begin the praise with this incredible roofing company! They showed up a day early on their own accord just to install protection boards around the windows and my garden. They were professional from start to finish. They also showed up after everything was said and done for a final nail sweep… on a Saturday just to make sure our dogs were safe. No one does that anymore! Comitted to their job. This family owned business gives the feel of an established large company through their organization and procedure process while also maintaining an intimate feel. We got multiple quotes from other roofing companies and Mattsson roofing stood out above the rest because of their attention to detail. What sold us and what they do differently is they assign a “site manager” to your project who stays at your property the entire time to ensure that you have a direct line of contact for any questions or concerns. We have flipped our entire house, hiring multiple companies and contractors through the process. Mattsson Roofing was easily the smoothest and best experience overall.
