I am very grateful to have found
Dr. Michalewski after living with excruciating pelvic pain. I arrived on the path of healing when I met him and his staff. Other doctors were at a loss of the cause and not very concerned. Tests were inconclusive and I could not move without terrible pain and discomfort. I could barely stand when I needed to urinate. My pelvic floor was damaged.

Dr. M. was and is extremely empathetic and patient. He listened to my struggles, reviewed records, and worked tirelessly to learn the cause of my pain and provide relief. Making appointments and keeping in touch is easy and supportive. Before surgery he attempted to find pain relief using different methods.

My situation was a result of a medical injury from a surgery decades prior from another physician. I required surgery and nerve blocks to heal from organ, muscle, a pelvic aneurysm, and nerve damage. Another result was Interstitial Cystitis. Among many effects are bladder nerve pain and frequent urination and that meant 20 times a night bathroom visits. Dr. M. has also been responsive to lingering pain in the healing process.

He recommended pelvic therapy and acupuncture which I pursued. It helps significantly. Continued nerve blocks helped. Dr. M. suggested Botox instillations in my bladder. I was hesitant but it worked! Along with nerve blocks I am now pain free. I can sit, drive, walk, bend, exercise, lay my body down to sleep, all movement without pain.

Living with chronic pain and fatigue was exhausting even while working. I didn’t give up trying to find answers and neither did Dr. M. I became pain free with Botox when I finally gave it a try.

I am living again, driving, and able to travel where that was impossible for four years.

Dr. M’s dedication and concern for my health and wellbeing whether in the office, on the phone, or in the hospital has been a blessing. I believe Dr. M. is a brilliant surgeon and positive influence for all his patients. He pursues new modes of therapy and technology to improve the lives of his patients.

Stellar experience/pelvic floor repair with Dr. M and Kathleen(office manager)…he is everything you would want in your physician and an excellent surgeon…both he and Kathleen were compassionate, very accessible, informational…I am a retired nurse and acupuncturist and have never bothered to write a physician review…but my journey and experience here warranted it…Prior to my consultation with Dr. M I had been to many doctors regarding my condition and in one visit he quickly and correctly diagnosed me and we moved forward with 2 surgeries…these surgeries have changed my life…

Urinating every hour/ hour and a half can be frustrating. Having to immediately know bathroom locations everywhere you went, stopping so frequently on long trips etc etc. Dr Michalewski and I had discussed this issue for several years. He continuously told me my choices (I already have the sling & it was fine for years). I chose medication many times to no avail. Finally, June 2024, I decided to try the botox injections into the bladder. What a life changer. I am so sorry I didn't listen to him previously when given my choices. I am thrilled with the results and feel so much more confident about traveling, going places, etc etc. Female problems, see Dr Michalewski. He was recommended to me many years ago and I am so glad I followed up on that recommendation.

Dr Michalewski is awesome! I was an extremely active 50+ yr old (with no bladder/bowel issues) until I had a significant back injury which caused hydronephrosis, severe urine retention, and incontinence. Went to numerous doctors, no one knew what to do.
Dr M and his team were very thorough with exams and testing to get a proper diagnosis. He has great bedside manner and is very professional.
I had 2 options, self cath for life or have a sacral nerve stimulator implant. I chose the latter. Best decision for me. So happy with the results. 50% improvement is considered a success, I would say I personally have 80-90% improvement!
